Miss Clumsy

Every girl I meet lately is very poised. I mean the way they walk and talk is just so perfect. Whether they are walking in heels or flats, talking in English or Spanish. Everything they do is just perfect. I know the quote that says, "You are your worst critic." But seriously, how can one person be so clumsy? I thought I might make your day a little brighter with some stories about my passed experiences, trying to be poised.
It was a sunrise service, Easter morning, 7:00am. There was a light drizzle falling onto Brian and I as we are walking into church when all of a sudden, I got stuck! I couldn't move, my shoe had gotten stuck in a crack! Laughing, I pulled on that shoe to get it to come out of the crack, it took some real muscles to get that baby out. Brian only laughed at me, but he did wait until I got it out. What a nice brother.

Another Sunday, close to Christmas. The ground was covered with snow and Brian and I were walking into Meijer. Again, I was wearing heels but these were only 1 inch. So, we see the greeter and she welcomes us into Meijer. Within five seconds of saying, "Hi!" I slipped into a Tebow pose. Then I was stuck for about ten seconds, mostly because I was laughing hysterically. Brian of course was laughing at/with me. The Meijer greeter runs over to me and looks very concerned. She makes sure I am alright and Brian proceeds to help me up. (AWW!)
(What a good brother! {most of the time})
Choral ladies retreat, 2006. We were getting ready to go to Mrs. Spangler's church when I forgot my Bible downstairs. I quickly ran down the stairs and grabbed it. I was trying to be as fast as possible. I was running up the stair when BAM! I fell going up the stairs. Not only did I fall, but I ripped off a scab from a previous fall that week. Now there is blood everywhere and even on my skirt. Now, that takes talent!

Kalamazoo, a West Michigan Air Dogs Event (A dog jumping competition). I was helping my friend Liz secretary an event. It is important to mention that it was close to exams time. I had all of my Microbiology stuff in my backpack and I put on the back my chair so it wouldn't get wet from the dew on the ground. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that my bag was to heavy for the chair, until I stood up to hand someone papers and went to sit back down I realized there was no seat there anymore. Needless to say, I made a graceful landing on the wet ground. Same event, next accident. It been raining all day and the dock was soaking wet. I went on the dock to hold someone's dog for him. After the dog did his thing, I walked down the ramp and I almost fell straight into the mud. If it was not for my friend Pat, I would have been covered in mud.
(Sky showing the people how it is done)
One month ago, I was sitting in my Epidemiology/Statistics class, we were doing a class activity when my paper flew off the desk. All of the chairs in this room are on wheels. I thought I would "wheel" over to the paper and pick it up, when my coat got stuck under one of the wheels and my chair flipped over. Of course, I was in the front row and the teacher announced it to the entire class. That was thoroughly embarrassing.

There is never a dull moment around me.
